For an Orthodox Christian, the question of truth is ultimately resolved. Our Lord and Savior Christ Himself says: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6). There can be no double interpretation or misunderstanding of this.
No scientific knowledge can replace a relationship with the Living God, Who is the Creator and Provider of the world. The truths of spiritual life transcend the capabilities of our minds and are found in the realm of faith, a way of understanding the world. More precisely, in the personal relationship between God and man—trust.
Simply trust in our Lord and Savior Christ. Pray in church, partake of the sacraments of Penance and Communion. And the Lord will comfort you. The Gospel prayer addressed to Christ is very helpful: "Lord, I believe; help thou my unbelief" (Mark 9:24).
